Kozlí Kvíz
A playful redesign of the official Kozel websites for the Czech and Slovak markets, created as part of Plzeňský Prazdroj’s wider OneCMS transformation.
The original website felt outdated, slow and overloaded with unnecessary content. Heavy image assets affected loading speed and the user journey was restricted by animation-led scrolling, making the experience less intuitive.
The redesign focused on creating a lighter, clearer and more characterful digital experience while keeping everything easy to manage within one shared Magnolia CMS ecosystem. The new website brings together essential brand content including beers, history, brewery experiences, non-alcoholic beer, competitions, e-shop, pub finder, quizzes and contacts.
To make the website feel more like Kozel, I designed playful branded interactions across the experience. Beer packshots hop into view, goat hoofs animate while scrolling and Kozel Olda appears with fun quotes when users explore the beer section. These details bring the brand’s humour and personality into the interface without making the website feel heavy.
The homepage was designed around a calendar-style news and events hub, based on the client’s request. As users browse through the latest Kozel events, the hoofs shift and create a small but memorable branded movement.
The result is a cleaner, faster and more playful website experience for both CZ and SK markets. Easier to navigate, easier to update and much more aligned with the Kozel spirit.
